Hotel Jens in Singapore introduces Jeno and Jena - Autonomous Delivery Robots

While relay robots have been introduced to the hospitality industry as early as last year, Hotel Jen by Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts is the first international hotel brand to use them in Asia. Both the Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore as well as Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore have just introduced Jeno and Jena at their respective properties who will be responsible from delivering simple things like in-room amenities to in-room dining orders when they are being placed.

Both the autonomous delivery robots are stationed at the hotel lobby and they are capable of moving around the hotel unmanned at a safe speed of 2.5km/hr (half that of an average human walking speed). They will also be able to ride elevators, make phone calls to rooms upon arrival and they are equipped with sensitive sensors that know to avoid obstacles in its path.
