Online Hotel and Flight Spend Classified as 'Ineligible' Transactions on DBS Woman's World MasterCard - Check Your Statements!

Everyone knows that the DBS Woman's World MasterCard is a credit card to get in Singapore and it does not matter whether you are male or female. While reconciling my DBS Points from last statement's spending on the DBS Woman's World MasterCard, I noticed that I did not get 10X points on some of my transactions made - you can request for a breakdown of DBS Points from DBS by sending a message via the secured mailbox.

I noticed that transactions that I have made on Alaska Airlines as well as a non-refundable hotel reservation that I have made at the Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium have been categorised as 'not eligible transactions'. While I have generally gotten bonus points awarded for some of my bills (e.g. gym membership and mobile plan), I am not disputing those since these are typically excluded in the T&Cs. I did however find the exclusion of online flight and hotel spend a little strange so I have disputed this with the DBS team. They required me to send them receipts of the online transactions for them to investigate.

I have gone ahead to attach the 'receipts' that I have gotten in my emails from the aforementioned transactions above and I am now waiting for them to investigate and get back to me with a (preferably) favourable outcome. I will update this article when there is progress in the investigation but in the meantime, I strongly urge everyone to check their statements - if you have not been tracking your points and miles religiously, it is about time you do so.

[Update: 25 September 2017]

Hi Mr. Chua!
Thank you for your patience.
I am pleased to inform you that we have credited an addtional 559 DBS points for transactions with 'Alaska Airlines' and 'HIS Atrium'.
