Spend S$388 Get S$38 Statement Credit - American Express Lunar New Year Dining Offer 2019

American Express runs a number of great offers each year (the best one so far is spend S$500, get S$150 back at Marriott Hotels) and in view of the upcoming Lunar New Year ahead, they have now released an offer for eligible cardmembers to get S$38 back from spending S$388 or more in-store at participating restaurants by 28 February 2019. As usual, you will have to save the offer to your card and the statement credit is limited to one redemption per registered card (you can save this offer to multiple American Express cards if you desire).

At the time of writing, participating restaurants include a wide range of restaurants from Crystal Jade, Imperial Treasure, JUMBO, Paradise Group and TungLok. Other standalone restaurant brands like Long Beach, Peach Garden, PUTIEN, Soup Restaurant, Si Chuan Dou Hua and Hai Tien Lo (in the Pan Pacific Singapore) are also participating in this offer. The only thing you will have to take note is that in order for you to successfully trigger this promotion, you will have to spend in person in-store. In the case of Hai Tien Lo, the charge needs to be made at the restaurant and not applied to the room (if you are staying in house) - it cannot be combined with the separate Pan Pacific Offer which is currently running. Unfortunately, ShopBack Go does not accept American Express cards at the moment but there are still ways to take full advantage of this promotion - look for a restaurant with a loyalty program (e.g. Paradise Gourmet Rewards) that is located in a mall (e.g. CapitaLand Mall) to triple dip on promotions! If you do not have an American Express credit card, signing-up for one now will get you at least S$150 cash reward upon approval - you have until 31 January 2019 to get this extra cash reward!
