How to Use The S$100 SingapoRediscovers Vouchers and Can You Combine Them With Friends/Family Members?
Last week, it has been announced that the S$100 SingapoRediscovers Vouchers can be utilised across five authorised booking partners' platforms. Today, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has provided more information pertaining to the methods of redemption as well as to address concerns about combining SingapoRediscovers Vouchers.
As a quick reminder, all Singaporeans aged 18 and above in 2020 will be eligible for S$100 SingapoRediscovers Vouchers (which can be accessed via SingPass in denominations of S$10). Singaporeans with family members under the age of 18 years old will be eligible to purchase up to six subsidised child tickets for attractions and tours - each subsidy is up to S$10.
How to Redeem SingapoRediscovers Vouchers on SingPass?
SingPass will be required to redeem the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers and eligible experiences on authorised booking partners' websites will be marked with the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers icon. Once you have added the item(s) to the shopping cart, you will be able to click on 'Use SingapoRediscovers Vouchers' at the checkout page. Doing so will prompt you to log-in to SingPass where you can then obtain a uniquely-generated SingapoRediscovers Vouchers code which you can then paste on the checkout page.
Individuals who require assistance to redeem the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers in person can visit the authorised booking partners at their physical locations.
Can I Combine My SingapoRediscovers Vouchers with a Friend or Family Member?
According to the latest FAQs at the time of writing, the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers cannot be stacked or combined with the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers of another individual to make redemptions as they are meant for personal use. This is also to prevent potential fraud and voucher scams.
Therefore, the short answer is no - you will not be able to stack your SingapoRediscovers Vouchers with your friends and family members for a single activity. As mentioned in the section above, you will be required to enter a uniquely-generated voucher code upon checkout so redeeming for two codes in a single transaction will not be possible.
With that being said, if you are looking to stay over at a hotel for more than one night, you should be able to make multiple separate bookings (using different S$100 SingapoRediscovers Vouchers from different individuals) on the authorised booking platforms before reaching out to the property to link these reservations up on the backend.
TRIBE Living Bangkok Sukhumvit 39 is a great value choice for budget-conscious travelers but its slightly longer walk from Phrom Phong BTS Station may make it less convenient compared to more accessible (but pricier) options in the area.
