The Serangoon House (New Marriott Tribute Portfolio Property) to Open in December 2022
There will be a brand new addition to Marriott’s portfolio of properties in Singapore - The Serangoon House, Singapore, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is taking reservations from 01 December 2022, and it is located in Little India along Serangoon Road with temples, mosques, street art, as well as brightly-painted shophouses within walking distance.
Taking over where The Claremont Hotel used to be in Singapore, The Serangoon House, Singapore, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel will be the newest hotel in Garcha Group’s portfolio - the previous property was purchased at $70 million back in June 2019. While no image renders are currently available at the time of writing, the 90-room property is expected to feature elements that are inspired by British colonial design in India with hand-carved wooden furniture. The hotel lobby will also house a jewel-encrusted sword that once belonged to Raja Baba Khem Singh Bedi, the 10th direct descendant of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak from the 18th century.
Prepaid rates for members at The Serangoon House, Singapore, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel start from just S$214++ on Fridays and Saturdays which is pretty reasonable considering how much the average rack rate has increased over the last couple of months. Rooms here at the property at expected to be quite small with the lead-in room category (Royal Classic) starting at just 18-21sqm. The Royal Maharajah Suite (which is probably the largest in the property) measures 33-36 sqm and it will house two King-size beds.
TRIBE Living Bangkok Sukhumvit 39 is a great value choice for budget-conscious travelers but its slightly longer walk from Phrom Phong BTS Station may make it less convenient compared to more accessible (but pricier) options in the area.
