Chinese New Year (2016) at the Park Hotel Clarke Quay
Chinese New Year is happening next month and the Park Hotel Clarke Quay has news to share! From 6-22 February 2016, gather all your friends and family for a sumptuous feast in the hotel's function rooms or simply enjoy a prosperity seafood buffet dinner at the Brizo Restaurant & Bar (check out my previous experience HERE!). One of the unique creations by Banquet Chef James Wong that you should not miss this year is the Rainbow Lobster & Crab Meat ‘Lo Hei’ (七彩荣华龙虾蟹肉捞生).
The beautiful presentation of the Rainbow Lobster & Crab Meat ‘Lo Hei’ (七彩荣华龙虾蟹肉捞生) comprises of seven different types of fruits this year that are arranged artistically with generous servings of succulent lobster and crab meat:
- Mango
- Rock Melon
- Honeydew
- Dragon Fruit
- Apple
- Pineapple
- Papaya

If you would like to indulge in a festive menu, check out Chef James Wong's array of set lunch and dinner menus this year (from S$228 Nett). Choose to dine in the relaxing surroundings of the Van Kleef room (with natural daylight) which comes with a view of the swimming pool or one of the more intimate Robertson rooms. Advance reservations and a minimum booking for 4 persons is required. All set menus are inclusive of unlimited servings of Chinese tea, soft drinks, and a Prosperity Salmon Yu Sheng Platter (好运鲑鱼鱼生). You may also choose to replace the Salmon with the more luxurious Rainbow Lobster & Crab Meat ‘Lo Hei’ at an additional S$30++.

2016 CNY Dinner Buffet
If you prefer to tuck into a BBQ and seafood dinner buffet instead, check out what Brizo Restaurant & Bar has to offer. Diners can toss for good luck with a platter of Prosperity Yu Sheng, available at a portion per table before starting with a whole range of delectable appetisers such as Smoked Duck & Mandarin Orange Salad, Lobster & Fruit Salad and Cold Poached Chicken in Hua Tiao Chiew (Chinese wine). To satiate the craving for seafood, the freshest catch on ice such as freshly-shucked oyster, Maine lobsters, USA half-shell scallops, flower crabs and tiger prawns together with fresh salmon and tuna sashimi can also be picked to start the meal.
The Lunar New Year Eve Reunion Seafood & BBQ Dinner Buffet in Brizo Restaurant & Bar is available for two seatings (6PM to 8PM and 830PM to 1030PM) at S$76++ per adult and S$38++ for children between 6 to 12 years old. There is also a S$118++ option that comes with unlimited wine and beer.
I fell in love with the brand new Summer Pavilion at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore when I visited it last December during the official launch. Firstly, the place is beautiful - everything from the decor, the private dining rooms and even those exquisite plates which all of us wanted to take home. Secondly, the food is amazing - presented beautifully while being executed perfectly. Therefore, when I got an invitation to check out the Lunar New Year menu at Summer Pavilion, I was really excited!
