THIRD Sofitel to open in Singapore - Sofitel Singapore City Centre
Following the opening of the Sofitel Singapore Sentosa Resort & Spa last year, the brand new Sofitel Singapore City Centre alongside Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara has been announced through a landmark deal with GuocoLand Limited for the management of the Group's two new-built luxury hotels.
The brand new Sofitel Singapore City Centre with 222 rooms will be part of an up and coming multi-billion dollar project known as Tanjong Pagar Centre which is expected to redefine mixed-use developments in Singapore. This luxury property will be located in between the vibrant CBD (Tanjong Pagar) and the historic Chinatown, making it the perfect destination for work and play. The Sofitel Singapore City Centre will offer guests the finest luxury accommodations complete with outdoor pool, a plush executive lounge with stunning city views, a 620 sqm ballroom and eight meeting rooms plus world-class restaurant and bars. Surrounded by a wide array of dining and entertainment options, the Sofitel will be exceptionally positioned to take advantage of strong corporate and leisure demand.
The Sofitel Singapore City Centre will be housed within Singapore's tallest building (at 290m) which will feature a prestigious residential and office tower alongside a range of retail and event spaces, all within easy access from the nearby MRT station. Guests at the brand new Sofitel Singapore City Centre will be able to take advantage of the state-of-the-art equipment and fitness programmes offered at the Virgin Active gym as well as the 150,000 sq ft Urban Park in Tanjong Pagar Centre. With the ability to accommodate up to 2,000 people, the Urban Park will be an ideal spot for public fitness events like Zumba and yoga for the broader community (hotel guests included!).
Swissôtel The Stamford offers stunning views of Marina Bay and a prime City Hall location, making it an excellent choice for international visitors. While the L65 Lounge serves substantial evening food, the limited alcohol selection might not suit all guests, but the hotel is still a great option for those wanting to experience Singapore’s iconic sights.
