Earn up to 3.3 Miles per Dollar on Uber and Grab Rides with American Express Singapore Airlines Credit Cards

While the ongoing mile accrual rate for most American Express credit cards in Singapore is not something to get excited about, they do have some of the best promotions that are run quite regularly. The American Express Singapore Airlines credit cards were introduced sometime in May 2016 and ever since then, multiple improvements have been made - you can earn up to 5.3 miles per dollar on mobile payments made on Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Android Pay, you get double miles on Mileslife and now, there is the opportunity to earn up to 3.3 miles per dollar on all Uber and Grab rides with one of the American Express Singapore Airlines credit cards.

Eligible cardholders will be able to earn an additional 2 KrisFlyer miles for every S$1 spent on transactions on either the Grab or Uber mobile application, up to S$200 each calendar month from 25 October 2017. Spend transactions on the Grab and Uber mobile applications is cumulative and combined for the purpose of calculating whether the S$200 threshold per calendar month has been met. Transactions made on the Grab and Uber mobile applications include top-up charges for Grab Pay and transactions for UberEats.

Detailed breakdown of the earn rate are as follows:

• American Express® Singapore Airlines PPS Club or Solitaire PPS = 3.3 miles per dollar
• American Express® Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Ascend Credit Card = 3.2 miles per dollar
• American Express® Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Credit Card = 3.1 miles per dollar
