Just Bought 31,200 Citi Miles for S$238 - Administrative Transaction Posted by Citibank

Back in July, I wrote about the opportunity to purchase 31,200 Citi Miles for S$238 - this is something that you do not see very often at all in Singapore. It is common to get bonus miles when you sign-up (or renew) and pay the annual fee of an eligible credit card in Singapore. However, being able to purchase miles at $0.0076 each is unheard of!

The only caveat to this promotion was this - you had to spend S$9,000 during the promotional period (registration was necessary) to be able to purchase the 31,200 bonus miles for S$238. Since I actually spent that amount in foreign currency, I actually ended up earning 18,000 (instead of 10,800) miles on my S$9,000 spend. Unlike other local banks, Citibank offers the opportunity to convert into a wide range of frequent flyer programs:

Now all I have to do is to wait for that 31,200 bonus miles to post!
