Conrad Tokyo Unveils Bigger and Newly-Remodeled Executive Lounge
The Executive Lounge on Level 37 of the luxurious Conrad Tokyo has just reopened on 11 March 2017 after being remodeled for approximately two months Exclusive to guests staying on Executive Floors only, the new Executive Lounge offers greater space to relax over a captivating view of the Tokyo Bay.

The remodeling of the Executive Lounge has extended it to the Tokyo Bay side of the hotel which now overlooks both the iconic Tokyo Bay and the beautiful Hamarikyu Gardens. The Conrad Tokyo has also created an additional 23 executive rooms to the three Executive Floors (Levels 35 to 37) which now puts approximately half of the Conrad Tokyo's rooms (inclusive of suites) into the premium room category.

The design concept of the Executive Lounge is “harmony.” Inspired by Japanese traditional houses, the interior is equipped with many spaces to relax as you please, as if you are in your own living room. Some of the materials were procured from a venerable maker with a history of over 100 years since founding, known for its unparalleled high-quality artisanal manufacturing with visitors coming from abroad to observe. The spirit of hospitality dwells everywhere in the design arrangements, which are modern yet expertly employ traditional Japanese techniques. “Japan is one of the leading countries of artisanal manufacturing and the world has always been captivated and enthralled by the stories and techniques that Japanese design embraces,” says Norihiko Shinya, who designed the lounge. “I hope that the Conrad Tokyo Executive Lounge where guests gather from Japan and abroad will serve as the backdrop to their first experience of modern hospitality in Tokyo and that it will promote this charm to Japan and the world.”
The counter desk that welcomes guests is made from a 120 year-old zelkova tree grown in Shiga Prefecture. Master woodwork artisans crafted the unique counter desk with two beautiful growth rings from the giant five-meter diameter tree. The hearth-inspired fieldstone fireplace installed facing the counter desk was made by a stonemason artisan in Takamatsu City of Kagawa Prefecture who is reaping attention internationally. Aji stone, which is said to be the most superior of granite stones, was processed meticulously to feature its stateliness while beautifully accentuating the delicate texture and unique rust of stones.
The prime location of the Hyatt Centric Ginza Tokyo is a major highlight, offering easy access to three Tokyo Metro lines. While the hotel has a solid F&B experience, the high room rates make this an expensive choice on longer stays.
