Everything You Need to Know about Accor Plus for up to 50% off Dining and Discounted Hotel Stays - Exclusive Discount Inside!
Accor Plus is a paid membership run by AccorHotels that offers a variety of benefits ranging from room rate discounts to dining discounts of up to 50% off at over 800 hotels and 1100 restaurants in 18 countries across Asia Pacific. Members will be able to enjoy at least one complimentary night at iconic hotel brands such as Fairmont, Sofitel, MGallery, Pullman and Novotel. To decide whether or not you should sign-up for this membership, I have put together a list of perks that you should know about before making that decision.
Do note that the Accor Plus membership is not the Le Club AccorHotels membership - the latter is a free loyalty program that rewards you based on how much you spend on hotel stays each year. By purchasing an Accor Plus membership, you will get an immediate upgrade to Silver Status in the Le Club AccorHotels program (more about this later!) and that gives you additional perks in properties all around the world. The Accor Plus membership also unlocks plenty of attractive benefits that you can take advantage of in the Asia-Pacific region and that includes additional discounts and savings that you can benefit from each year.
Stay Plus - Free Night every Year
Depending on which Accor Plus membership you opt for, you will be entitled to either one free night (S$398 membership) or two (S$508 membership) each year. The Stay Plus benefit can be utilised across Asia Pacific. As you can imagine, using the Stay Plus certificate at AccorHotels' top properties can be competitive. With that being said, it is not impossible as I have recently managed to utilise my Stay Plus benefit at the beautiful Sofitel Singapore City Centre. If the lead-in room category does not appeal to you, it is also possible to upgrade to a better room (or suite) by topping up the difference - you can do this online at the time of reservation. Depending on where you choose to redeem your Stay Plus benefit, you can easily ‘earn back’ the cost of your membership. For instance, an average weekend room night at the Sofitel Singapore City Centre goes for approximately S$300 a night before tax so if you can find availability for the dates you want, you can essentially offset the membership cost in just one stay.
Huge Discounts on Hotel Room Nights - Red Hot Rooms
If you love traveling around the region or even doing staycations in Singapore, you would definitely benefit from the Red Hot Rooms rate - I stayed at the Swissotel The Stamford early this month and only paid around S$200 nett for a weekend stay - that same weekend was going for approximately S$320 nett for a non-member. The Red Hot Rooms can be up to 50% off the BAR so you can definitely save plenty if you are flexible with your stay dates. During my stay at the Swissotel The Stamford, I also managed to upgrade my room into a newly-refurbished Premier Harbour View Room using one of the upgrade certificates that I got from The American Express Platinum Card. Additionally, I also received two complimentary drink vouchers (part of my Le Club AccorHotels benefit) and earned Le Club AccorHotels points from the stay (since this is an eligible rate).
10% Discount for Accor Plus Members
Of course, it goes without saying that Red Hot Rooms rates do not apply to all properties all the time so if you do have to stay somewhere (either for work or leisure) on certain dates, you can rest assure that Accor Plus members are getting the best rates - as an Accor Plus member, you will always receive a further 10% off best the available rate across all participating AccorHotels properties in Asia-Pacific - this discount is also applicable during restricted sales period, when you book directly through AccorHotels website or app.
Save Up to 50% on Dining
With the Accor Plus membership, you will be able to save up to 50% off the total food bill across all participating restaurants in Asia-Pacific when you dine with a friend. If you are dining alone, you will benefit from a 25% discount so you should definitely bring along a friend for extra savings! In my opinion, Racines at the Sofitel Singapore City Centre is the best restaurant that sits in an AccorHotels property in Singapore. Executive Chef Jean-Charles Dubois has done an amazing job with his team at dishing out food that is not only impressive to look at but equally remarkable in taste. For inspiration, some of these restaurants in Singapore include Mikuni, Prego, Skai as well as Kopi Tiam. Most participating properties in Singapore already run a decent happy hour promotion (or equivalent) but outside of these hours, you will receive 15% off drinks (alcoholic or otherwise) when you show a valid Accor Plus membership card.
Silver Status in Le Club AccorHotels Program
As mentioned earlier, you get an automatic upgrade to Silver status (worth 10 night stays or €800 in eligible expenses) in the Le Club AccorHotels program when you sign-up to become an Accor Plus member. While the benefits of being a Silver member are not extensive, you do get things like late check-out (subject to availability) and welcome drinks at participating hotel brands. It is also a nice way to accrue more Le Club AccorHotels points since you get a nice bonus for being a Silver member.
Joining Certificates
On top of all the benefits that I have already mentioned, you will get a rather extensive stack of vouchers which comes with your membership package. These vouchers include additional perks like enhanced dining discounts, savings on spa treatments, as well as a complimentary birthday cake.
If you tend to travel within the Asia-Pacific region or you simply like to enjoy quality food at up to 50% off, the Accor Plus membership should be an easy decision since it will pay itself off very quickly. Personally, for me, the discounted stays (especially the Red Hot Rooms) form a strong value proposition for me since the discounts are substantial. If you enjoy traveling better for less, the Accor Plus membership is definitely something to consider.
