Get 16,000 Bonus Miles with Citi Rewards Card and Earn 4 Miles per Dollar on Eligible Spend - New-to-card Customers (Apply by 31 October 2022)
All eligible new Citi customers who sign-up for the Citi Rewards Card between now and 31 October 2022 will receive 40,000 bonus Points (equivalent to 16,000 miles) when they spend at least S$800 within two full calendar months. The Citi Rewards Card is one of the best credit cards in Singapore for miles as it awards 10X Points (equivalent to 4 miles per dollar) on eligible spending each month and you can also pair it with the Amaze Card to avoid FX fees (3.25% in the case of Citi credit cards in Singapore).
Do note that you will have to be an eligible new-to-card Citi customer which means you must not currently have an existing Citi Credit Card (as a main cardmember) at the time of application, and you must not have previously held a Citi Credit Card (as a main cardmember) in the last 12 months prior to the application. For the sake of clarification, you are still considered an eligible new customer if you held, or are holding only a supplementary Citi credit card at the time of application.
Upon application of the Citi Rewards Card, you will have to charge at least S$800 worth of eligible expenses to the new card within two full calendar months (which start from the end of the month of application). For example, if you were to apply for the card today (3 August 2022), you will have two full calendar months from the end of August 2022 - this means that the S$800 worth of transactions will have to be posted by 31 October 2022 in order for you to be eligible for this welcome offer.
The Citi Rewards Card is one of my favourite credit cards in Singapore for miles as it allows me to earn 4 miles per dollar on all eligible spending - I typically pair this with the Amaze Card which I then use for physical payments overseas so I do not incur a 3.25% FX fee that Citi Singapore levies on non-SGD transactions. If you are in the mood for a shopping trip or simply have some expenses coming up, you may consider using the Citi Rewards Card for these expenses (especially if they are within the bonus categories):
S$800 Spend (on Bonus Categories): 8,000 Points
Welcome Bonus: 40,000 Points
Total: 48,000 Points (19,200 Miles)
Earning 24 miles per dollar on your first S$800 with the Citi Rewards Card is amazing and it even comes with an annual fee waiver in the first year (from my experience, the annual fee can be easily waived upon request so long you use it often enough). If you want the Citi Rewards Card but the bonus miles do not appeal to you, you may also consider applying for the same card as an eligible new customer via SingSaver by 7 August 2022 for the following sign-up gifts instead (minimum spend of S$500 within 30 days required):
TRIBE Living Bangkok Sukhumvit 39 is a great value choice for budget-conscious travelers but its slightly longer walk from Phrom Phong BTS Station may make it less convenient compared to more accessible (but pricier) options in the area.
