Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur (Cat 5) Now Accepting Room Reservations from 3 September 2025
After a series of delays, the Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur (which occupies the top floors of Merdeka 118) is finally accepting room reservations from 03 September 2025. The Category 5 property has also started to accept bookings made with World of Hyatt points - free nights start from as little as 17,000 points per night for a Standard Room.

The lead-in room category at the Park Hyatt Kuala Lumpur measures approximately 53-59 sqm in size and they will all feature a walk-in wardrobe, 55" QLED Smart TV, a Nespresso Coffee Machine, Genewa Mini Bluetooth Speaker as well as a Dyson Hair Dryer. The property is integrated with the Merdeka MRT station and it offers easy access to the MRT and LRT.
At the time of writing, the best available rates (flexible cancellation) for a lead-in room and standard suite start from MYR 1,500+ and MYR 2,900+ respectively which is definitely on the high side. Assuming a 17,000 off-peak free night redemption for a standard room, you are getting an approximate value of 2.13 US cents per point which is not exactly great (but not terrible as well since you can typically purchase them at approximately 1.92 US cents per point during a sale).
World of Hyatt points are best utilised at extremely expensive properties like the Park Hyatt Kyoto for maximum value but you can obviously consider using them during peak periods at Category 1 properties even if they cash rate is high (or if you travel dates are fixed).
