Four Points Eatery at the Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview
As mentioned in my list of new hotels that are opening in 2016 this year in Singapore, the Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview has quite recently been re-branded from the previously-know Riverview Hotel. My first experience with the Four Points brand was during my trip to Sydney when I stayed in the beautiful Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Darling Harbour with a view to kill for. Since the Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview is the first Four Points branded property in Singapore, I was pretty excited to check it out personally.

The Four Points Eatery is the all-day dining restaurant that is located on street level of the Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview. The restaurant has been given a massive overhaul and redesign - it is now looking a lot more modern with its contemporary touches. The restaurant has also just recently unveiled a brand new Oceania Seafood Buffet (from 01 August 2016) which is available for lunch, dinner and Sunday Brunch.
While the buffet spread is not as extensive to other hotels in Singapore, the Four Points Eatery offers a price point that is hard to beat (more on this later!). The restaurant overlooks the iconic Singapore River and it is not uncommon to see people enjoying a leisurely walk (with their pets even!) in the evening. During my dinner tasting at the Four Points Eatery, there was a small selection of fresh seafood on ice - Alaskan crab legs, spanner crabs and prawns.
There was also an Oyster station where oysters are shucked upon request to ensure its freshness.
As part of the Oceania Seafood Buffet spread, you will find a handful of cooked dishes that incorporates the use of fresh seafood. My personal favourite is the simple (but satisfying!) Sambal La La that is photographed above.
Apart from the seafood dishes that are offered, there is also a decent Sashimi counter (a definite buffet station in Singapore!) as well as a 'live' prawn station (which I am personally not a fan of).
All in all, even though the buffet spread is not particularly extensive, I thought that it was pretty reasonable for the price that the hotel is charging (the last time I was there, SPG members got additional discounts as well!). The Sunday Brunch (S$52++) is definitely something to watch out for as it comes with free-flowing Prosecco and Moscato!
This was an invited media-tasting session, though all views expressed are my own.
