Earn Miles, Points and STAR$ on GrabPay Wallet Top-ups with American Express Cards (10 November 2020 to 10 May 2021) - Registration Required!

Gone are the days where you can earn 4 miles per dollar on GrabPay Wallet top-ups but from 10 November 2020 to 10 May 2021, eligible American Express cardholders will be able to receive bonus KrisFlyer Miles, Membership Rewards (MR) Points, or STAR$ for every dollar that they put into their GrabPay Wallets. Cardholders (principal and supplementary included) will be able to save this new offer for their respective card but do note that an enrolment limit applies for each card - so do it now!

Earn 1 Membership Rewards (MR) Point per S$1

If you hold an American Express Card that awards MR Points (e.g. The Platinum Card or the American Express Platinum Credit Card), you will be able to earn 1 MR Point for every S$1 that you top-up on your GrabPay Wallet once you have successfully saved the offer to your card. If you have the Centurion or The Platinum Card, 1 MR Point is worth approximately 0.63 miles per dollar but if you have one of the other Platinum credit cards from American Express, it will worth out to 0.56 miles per dollar.

A maximum of 5,000 bonus MR Points (total top-up value of S$5,000) can be earned per registered card during the aforementioned period and while it is not a highly attractive earn rate, it is one of the rare few opportunities left to earn miles and points on GrabPay Wallet top-ups. This offer is limited to the first 15,000 enrolments so be sure to save it to each one of your registered cards quickly!

Earn 1 KrisFlyer Mile per S$1

If you hold one of the Singapore Airlines co-branded credit cards from American Express (e.g. The American Express Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Credit Card), you will be able to earn 1 bonus KrisFlyer Mile for every S$1 that you top-up on your GrabPay Wallet once you have successfully saved the offer to your card. Out of all the three different offers, the co-branded cards actually offer the highest accrual rates at 1.0 mile per dollar. 

A maximum of 5,000 bonus KrisFlyer Miles (total top-up value of S$5,000) can be earned per registered card during the promotional period. This offer is limited to the first 25,000 enrolments.

Earn 5 Bonus STAR$ Per S$1

Holding The American Express CapitaCard? You will be able to earn 5 bonus STAR$ for every S$1 that you top-up on your GrabPay Wallet on a registered card. As a quick reminder, CapitaStar can redeem 5,000 STAR$ for a S$5 eCapitaVoucher so this is effectively a 0.50% cash rebate. If you are a PAssion Card member (and you should be), you will be able to redeem the same S$5 eCapitaVoucher at a discounted rate of 4,500 STAR$ which equates to an approximately 0.56% cashback.

A maximum of 25,000 bonus STAR$ (total top-up value of S$5,000) can be earned per registered card under this offer and it is limited to the first 15,000 successful enrolments. 

GrabPay Card to Earn Miles/Points/Cashback on Non-Eligible Transactions + Double Dip with GrabRewards Points

While a 1 mile per dollar earn rate is not exactly exciting, the GrabPay Card does allow you to earn miles (or points and cashback) on some transactions that would traditionally not earn you anything. In case you haven't heard, Grab users will also be able to earn an additional 11x GrabRewards points per dollar (on top of up to 4 points per dollar) on 11 November 2020 - limited to the first 20,000 transactions, capped at 3,000 points per user (spend S$272.73 nett to max out this bonus!).
